Rural Teachers Union Of Zimbabwe (RTUZ), Defiantly Goes Ahead With Protest
In absolute defiance to oppressive authority, the Rural teachers Union Of Zimbabwe (RTUZ) are going ahead with the planned street protests on the 4thof January 2016 regardless of the delays by the traditionally partisan Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to issue a Police Clearance for them to hold a peaceful demonstration
Rural teachers Union Of Zimbabwe lawyers have advised RTUZ that, in accordance with the requirements of the country’s new constitution, what is important is notifying the police, which they have clearly done, and not the clearance issue.
The RTUZ, call upon all civil servants, workers, vendors, students and ordinary Zimbabweans to down their tools, join and participate in this legal demonstration without fear. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
